Summer Conferences 2024

The Rao lab will be represented at the Gordon Research Conferences this summer. Dr. Rao will present at the GRC on Calcium Signaling in Tuscany, Italy and Dr. Gupta will give a talk at the GRC on Membrane Transport Proteins in Maine. Dr. Rao will address the Biomedical Training Program Directors’ Conference on the topic of Inclusive Excellence in Recruitment, Admissions and Retention in Bethesda, MD. Later this summer, Rao will present at the VIII Meeting on Cardiotonic Steroids and the Na+ Pump in Brazil.

To address the lack of diversity among basic science faculty at the School of Medicine, Dr. Rao teams up with Dr. Luis Garza to recruit basic science biologists who will receive mentorship as well as exposure to potential clinical applications for their work.
